Thanks chaps. Thumbs Up

The roads are a lot quieter today but still icy/slushy so I will go for a longish run later and see what happens (i.e. three times round the island!).

Also found a Wurth agent just down the road.

Some if you guys need to lend me your car! My October 2012 car has just turned 21k. Never ever had the dpf warning. Approx twice a week, engine note changes to a throaty roar and smells hot. Then all is fine.
My advice, stick it in sport one day per week and drive it hard! Won't affect mpg at all

Update - Well, the car has now been at the dealers for eight days. Big Cry

The DPF was operating properly all along but the sensor had failed. A new sensor arrived yesterday so hopefully I will get it back this afternoon.

Turkey 2011 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Auto Santorini BlackDiscovery 4

Just wanted to bring this topic back to life because this forum is always great help for me regarding my 2011 D4 SDV6 problems and I wanted to contribute as well Smile

Yesterday, I came up with the DPF Full - See Handbook message (with the yellow sign)

I'm usually doing short trips between home and work. Probably this was the cause why the DPF couldn't do auto regen on its own.

I read all the forums and there were different suggestions about speed, rpm, gear and duration for this process.

What I have done is;
I drove until the engine came to ideal temperature and then hit the motorway.
I fixed the car to 75 kmh speed (auto cruise) and didn't interfere with gear nor rpm (I have auto transmission) I believe the rpm was below 2000.
It took about 20 - 25 mins until the yellow sign disappeared.

When I parked the car, I had this smell of burnt metal coming near the exhaust.
So I believe the job was done Smile

Just wanted to share this if anyone had question about speed - rpm - gear for DPF regen.

FYI - the latest software on the GAP IID can force a regen under certain criteria but the best way is still to follow the handbook and take it for a long run at steady speed. No revving etc needed.
