DPF light on a D4 2016

Konichiwa from a lovely warm and sunny Japan!!

No, this cry for help is not from me but my parents. They have a 2016 Landmark (56k miles if that’s relevant) and the orange “DPF warning light” has come on and won’t go out. They’ve done the usual taking the car for a fast run and tried Redex DPF cleaner, to no avail. They don’t have a fault code reader, nor the ability to use one, so we don’t have that to tell us what’s going on. They can’t get it into Stratstones until end of November and are wondering if they should try one of the “loads of” DPF cleaning companies.

Thoughts oh wise ones out there?

Cheers sub, many thanks. Bow down Bow down

Have passed that to them, quoted the relevant bits re regen not working and aftermarket cleaners. Looks like they’ll have to be patient and get it into a dealer. They don’t know any LR Indis in Cardiff and I hope they don’t take it to the general garage they use.
