DPF or no DPF

How can I tell if my 2010 registered Discovery 4 has an DPF fitted. Is the only way to get under the car and have a look?
On the message centre in the middle of the instrument cluster it shows "18-2-2009 73671" is this a changeable date or maybe the first commissioning?
Any help would be appreciated.

I should add to my previous post that I have searched this site on the DPF subject, but was still not convinced. If it helps, the 8th Vin character is an "F".

From the D4 oil thread:

F = 245bhp non dpf
G= 245bhp with dpf
M = 210bhp with dpf

So sounds like no DPF. The date is changed by the settings. if you have the large screen in the dash, go to settings ->clock or something along those lines. Try reading the manual and you will soon find it

So, no DPF, that's really good news as most of my journeys are short town stuff.
My last car was an Xtrail with a DPF fitted so I had to give it a blast on the motorway every few weeks.
I want to do some interim oil changes so i'll look on the "which oil thread" but is there any advantage in using the better stuff used in the DPF engined cars.
This engine has already had a bottom end rebuild with a new block because of oil pump failure.

I don't believe there to be any advantage and would mean using a spec not listed for your car. You want 5W30 A1, Castrol is manufacturer recommended but any meeting that spec should be fine. I put Shell in mine last time round and I suspect the servicing garage used Millers.
