standard fitment from 2011 for D4's.
I have never noticed any smoke from mine when it has been regenerating, you can feel the heat coming off the car when you park up though! Slight burning brake type of smell too.

I have Discovery 4 TDV6 2015 with 264000km. It has failed automatic DPF regeneration two times while driving on highway with restricted performance. No error codes logged. Then I activated commanded regeneration using IID diagnostic tool. When I slow down in a roundabout and accelerate, check engine light came with restricted performance. Also i heared some vibration, possibly suspecting something linked with active engine mounts. I used to drive the car to drop my wife to her office, exiting highway. 3-4 km drive under traffic and back to highway.
I checked with diagnostic tool and I received this error : P2263-22-Turbo/supercharger boost system performance General signal failure - Signal amplitude greater than maximum. After clearing no error again and had some hard acceleration also on highway. I couldn't see any visible manifold crack oil leaks or just some vapor around intercooler hose connectors, oil cap, etc.
Any help directing diagnostic step would be appreciated. Now DPF soot mass is 4.95g.
Thank you,

I've had a 2014 D4 for 6 years and didn't even know it had a DPF, never noticed anything, my use is possibly below average with most journeys around 12 miles.
Is this MY suspect to oil dilution?- Although I change the oil every year at about 8k miles I have never put additional oil in or had any warning of overfill. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
