It is 120 volt I know what saying but it is variable speed, I would say it has built in reduction.

Loved my little dremmel, rite up to last weekend when the chuck lock button failed. Motors fine, case like new, but as much use as a on a because I can't remove or fit any bits..
Luckily my pumpkin carving dreams were saved by my old Clarke airline back-up..Narpy Grill, tinted windows, Smooth leather wheel (TLO Group buy), ACM fitted (thanks TLO), Rear door loom and Row 2 & 3 audio switch upgrade, RRS 20" wheel change, 285 Cooper LTZ's Sat Nav Mod (until I get a Faultmate upgrade), Front & Rear lamp guards. 4x4 screen now switched on - Woody32, Follow me home reverse lights - woody32, Auto release EPB - Woody32. Off Road Navigation - Woody32. Remap + EGR's switched off. Full chassis clean and Waxoyl.

Picked up mine on Saturday. Joined the B&Q Club and saved an extra 20% too, which was nice...
The 3000 is a new model (don't know how it compares as my other Dremel is battery powered and yes, on its second motor - an easy DIY fit and about £17 from memory).
Looks to be a useful device and well made and yup, 5 more watts than the 2000 model 8) , which B&Q also sell but that's more expensive.Andy C
