Drive Problem
Drive Problem .
discovery 3 2005
Forward and reverse in a straight line at any speed is fine ....turn to pull into a drive and the rear wheels skip with a chunking sound ...So my first thought was drive shaft so new shafts and hubs ....no change so thought prop shaft .replaced with new nope.so rear Differential so replaced that with a lower mileage one.no change and I striped the diff down and it was ok ....now I have changed the rear drive shafts and it's still kin doing it and I'm starting to run out of stuff to replace .
Front diff and transfer box with front prop shaft and it will all be new .brakes all round are new
Anyone got any ideas ?

If you fill in your profile fully it will be easier to offer you the correct advice. It sounds like it might be your transfer box needs calibration. Its a small job as done easily with diagnostics (GAP IID)
There is a manual way of doing it without diagnostics, but I've forgotten its been so long since I did it that way. If you do a search on here it will pop up!
Edit: You could easily have bought a good quality diagnostic tool for what you spent on it already!!

Have you had the wheels aligned? Had a similar thing with the wife's RRS where it was doing emergency braking on bends, felt a bit like ABS.Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

Have you checked the DSC or have a diff lock turned on. Not in low on transfer box.
