Driver lucky to be alive!
This is one of the reasons I have bought Lr's since 2000

The Land Rover Discovery, driven by a local medical professional, proceeding east on the highway towards Meerensee, had stopped for the red light when the truck – apparently without braking – smashed into it from the rear.

While a passing motorist chased after the truck, the driver of the Discovery was, amazingly, uninjured and able to get out of the wreck.

Probably picked up the bits and drove home.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

It's stories like this, and particularly that one about a head on with an Audi a couple of years ago, that eventually persuaded me to move to a Discovery from a Defender.Darren

The Audi one was truly horrific.....and played no small part in my decision to stick with a Discovery...."Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Unfortunately last year my friends D3 met a polish lorry driving on the wrong side of the road coming round a corner, sadly the passenger was killed, luckily the other ocupents survived, you could not tell from the wreckage it was a D3 nor would you think that any body had survived... If it had been any other vehicle none of them would have stood a chance
