Update:
Garage didn't turn up in their 3 hr slot. Phoned them, to be told, insurer had cancelled to quotation visit. Insurer also advised them, that cannot get a car for me until the Thursday, rather than the Wednesday. SO book it all for Thursday. Without asking me.
I cannot go on Thursday....

Swmbo's booked in for repair on Monday. Can fault Ageas been very good. Still over £3k worth of damage Today is the oldest you've been and the youngest you'll ever be again.

Having spoken to insurer, I can see what has happened.
Garage phoned to say they were coming out to do an assessment. This is cost is added to the bill. The insurer has already written in an amount of time to assess the car at the garage. Seeing as the garage told me they were seeing 4 other cars that morning, and were going to bill for a 1/2 day just for my car, plus fuel....bit of a cash cow for the garage really.
Car still booked in for Wednesday, with hire car available on that day. MY07 Freelander2 SE Santorini Black - Gone

So...the saga was continuing.
Called Friday, as no info on time to meet hire car etc. Was told 'Transport' would phone me Sat or Mon.
Both came and went.
Phoned Tuesday lunch time. Was told all still go for Wednesday. Advised them that, as they have left it so late, I am restricted on what time I can meet up now. Had to commit to a couple of meetings.
Transport phoned at 5:10, to say all sorted, and see you at 9am in the garage. I advised that garage was 20 miles away, and due to other commitments I couldn't be there until 4. Turns out, they were bringing me a hire car from their offices in Birmingham!!!!
Told them I will see what I can do.. By 5:30 it is obvious I can't do anything. Phoned back to cancel booking and re-arrange date. Spoke to a different person this time. Really helpful.
So at 7am this morning, there was a guy sat outside my house with a new Q7, ready to do the paperwork. Sorted that out, he then did a full check of my D4 for damage, then has driven off to deliver to the garage for me.
Definitly cannot complain at the service I'm getting......for a small scratch on the back bumper.. MY07 Freelander2 SE Santorini Black - Gone
