How hard is the B+E test, just a bit of practice or lessons req'd?

I would say lessons required, it's a bit more than just being able to reverse.
Haven't done it myself as I just snuck in with my licence, but I have a client who does teach b + e and he has pointed out a couple of things to me I didn't knowJust remember:-

I always get commented on how well I can reverse my outfit (Swift 590 Twin Axle and VW Amarok) and I can't remember the last time I had to use my motor mover
We have Swift 620 TA and don't even have a motor mover, only time i normally have problems is when someone decides to help!==================================

A mate, showed me what he said was the proper way to hitch up
ie. breakaway cable on first before taking handbrake off. Then when hitch has triggered the lock raise the towing vehicle with the jockey wheel to ensure the lock is positive. I do that as a matter of course now.
