Mine has started to make a fiant rumbling / dronig noise, particularly on over-run and when warm, was into Shukers today for new heated washer jets and rear tailgate straps, dealer, car went in with MTRs on but dealer changed them for a set of donor wheels they have with road tyres on, diagnosis is Front Diff they have ordered one but as with everything else they are on back order, or so he tells me Rolling Eyes

So that rules out the theory of "the wrong paint" in the diff.
Looks like the replacement diffs will fail eventually.

Had a new set of Pirelli Zeros put on last week but the noise was still there. Going into dealer tomorrow to have it 'acoustically' analysed! We'll see Rolling Eyes

I have that rolling noise at around 60-80 kmph I think from front right. Dealer checked wheel bearings which are fine. I run Wrangler HP tyres. Any ideas?

When I had that sound I had the wheel bearings checked and they were fine, it turned out to be the front diff, has now developed a metalic noise, best described as though the brake disk may be catching on the back plate/dust shield, this has been diagnosed as the rear diff failing.

It would be better if it was the bearings but he said they checked out ok

You could try draining the oil and see if there are any metal particles in it, this may give you an idea.
