Dual Anderson Plug

G’day you fine fellows,

I’ve decided to undertake installing a dual Anderson 50a plug for my caravan which is due to arrive in a few months. I wanted something tidy and inconspicuous. I have removed the left side white 12 pin round plug as we don’t use it in Australia. I needed the dual as one is or the caravan charging circuit (black) and one (red) is for the ESC( electronic stability control) for the caravan. I’ve removed the plug from its base and cut the wires and taped up for reinstall if required. The base has been trimmed to accommodate the dimensions of the Anderson base. I little bit of cutting was done to the metal frame to which the base screws to but very little as the cut out for the round plug is already quite substantial. Anyways I think it has turned out pretty well. A question you may ask is why the red Anderson plug, it’s there so it can be easily unplugged if conquering any off road terrain that messes with the ECS.

The plug was ordered in Australia but I’m sure would be available overseas as well, the dust caps come from another supplier to keep things clean whilst not in use, I will be installing a Recovery hutch in the near future that will sit in recovery point spot permanently.

Any questions feel free to drop me a msg!

Regards Billy
