Just got back from a 75K service, followed by a second return visit for some warranty work - the car needed to be seen by a technician from the warranty company just to sign-off on some repairs. (Land Rover Approved Warranty). My experience of the LRA warranty has definitely been worth it - hassle free, always covered the repairs - very good.
Superb service yet again. 75K service was done last week without a hitch, I asked them to replace the air filter too as I think 45K between changes it too long. Car felt much sharper and smoother too. Great price on it too.
Car went back this week for a fair amount of warranty work - EGR valves, Vacuum pump, and rear suspension knocking (I think they replaced the drop arm in the end) and did a 4 wheel alignment. That was all done with no problems whatsoever, and the difference in the car now is huge. With the EGR valves done the pickup is much smoother, and it's lost the "shunting" when slowing down. Suspension is smooth and quiet, and the brakes feel much sharper and far less spongy since dealing with the vacuum pump.
All done with no inconvenience to me, lots of updates/communication on progress, a D3 loaner, and a nice clean car returned. They even managed to replace the clips on the windscreen trim (that kept coming loose after a windscreen replacement) at short notice, when I forgot to mention it, and didn't mention until just before I was just on the way to pick it up!
Just can't fault that service and highly recommended, especially to those on the North Bank/Humber/East Yorks area. (If you are travelling that way, there's a very good breakfast van en-route, which does a fine lincolnshire sausage & egg butty too!).
Big thanks to George & Karl H on the service desk and Steve in the workshop. Having a decent dealer back-up makes a massive difference to owning a D3!

Very useful thanks John. Having had a very poor buying experience (when buying my new Disco in June) from Stratstone Doncaster, I am looking for somewhere for those services. I may just have to give Duckworths a try. Thanks again. 09MY HSE Almond leather with Privacy and Towpack.

I went to Duckworths for similar reasons after dealings with two other local dealers and also because of the recommendations on here. There are a few of us on here that use them - tell them we sent you!

Hello John
Whereabouts is this dealer, I am contemplating getting a dealer to have a look at a couple of bits on my car and have heard Stratstone in Hull are not that good!

They're in Market Rasen - Racecourse Rd - very easy to find. It was probably on my recommendation, some time ago, that John started to use them and he is now experiencing the same excellent service that I have. I have experience of other dealers in this area (I won't use any names!) - don't touch 'em with a barge-pole. I could write reams on my experiences where previous Discos have come out with more problems than it went in with! Talk to George at Duckworths - I am totally confident that you will be delighted with their service.
Richard I was taught to be cautious.

Yes, it was Richard's recommendation that took me to them, and I agree with all he said above.
I can't remember the figure off hand but think it was around the £330 mark, but it's best to speak to them for the best price, in case there are additional things you want looking at in the service or there are offers on etc.
George or Karl H are on +44 1673 842101.
Takes me about 20mins from the south end of the bridge. Wouldn't touch my other options with a barge pole either. I've always had the best price from them, though even if other dealers were to price match, it's not all about price. Having confidence the car will be fixed to time/budget and with never the need for repeat trips for the same issue are vital to me.
On a couple of occasions they've done stuff while I wait, which is good to avoid the extra fuel and bridge tolls. They have wifi if you need to work whilst waiting.
Happy to talk 'offline' about other dealer experiences if that helps you...

Bakersboy,
I had exactly the same experience with Stratstones Doncaster and moved my business to Duckworth's Market Rasen on JC's recommendation. I can't fault their excellent service whether warranty, routine servicing or repairs and they treat you with respect. Highly recommended.

Matt we were sat in the showroom for almost three hours whilst they checked over our car and carried out a diagnostic check. Its going back a week on Thursday for two days having boths EGR valves replaced, all anti roll bar bushes, ball joints, 4 wheel alignment and one of the two horns isnt working either. Its going to cost a pretty penny!
