Wales 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Manual Tonga GreenDiscovery 3
Dummy GPS Aerial

Has anyone fitted one of these, thinking about it but only concern is that once i take out the blanking plate it might leak? Any advice appreciated!

Anyway, GPS is located in the high level brake light housing so strictly speaking this is a dum GSM antenna

Fair one, just spotted a few HSE with them including my Neighbour who has an 08!

Just out of interest if the GPS is in the Highlevel brake light waht is the GPS aerial for?

i have fitted one to my disco
all you have to do is remove plastic cover which covers the end of roof lineing put your hand in between the roof and the lineing
you need an ten mm spancer to remove the plate
fit on replacement and bolt up all ok

Mine is a S model and has a fully fuctioning one Mr. Green for the mobile phone adaptor if you want to spend £35 on something get something useful.

Again another fair one, however you dont get much from LR that is useful for 35 sheets! Wink

As they've stopped doing cradles for phones I don't suppose they're fitting them (real ones, not fakes) to anything 08.5MY or newer

Actually for around 25 GBP you can buy the proper LR one from Nick @ Yeovil (The Large One).

Part number is XUI500094PNP (assuming you don't have a sunroof) and as ljason286 said, you'll be able to fit it within 20 minutes easily.

Come on, with no cradle its pointless - any phone that connects via Bluetooth is using the phone antennae hence the later cars with no BT don´t have any use for the roof antennae.... Rolling Eyes

Save your cash for the inevitable EPB repairs/adjustments that it will need....

Its called a Dummy caus its sold by a Dummy Whistle

However there are a few D3's on this Forum have a proper GPS receiver mounted in the PTI housing check TFC's gallery to see what I mean Thumbs Up
