ECHO III

Hello,

to introduce myself: I am living near Munich, Germany, drove for almost 15 years Defender and own since last December a LR3.

Some weeks ago I bought a used ECHO III-trailer (MY 2006, unbraked) and have some questions concerning my new toy:

What tire pressure do you recommend for tarmac and gravel roads?

Are there items, that should be regular maintained?

Has ECHO ever issued an o&m-manual for the trailer, also concerning the battery charger, water-pump ....

As the weight of the trailer is very close to the allowed (unbraked) tow-weight of 750 kg of the LR3 (with no water in the 100l tank), I am thinking of fitting brakes to the ECHO III. Has anybody already done this and can recommend this upgrade?

Thanks a lot in advance for your input

I have an Echo 3 and even all up with water etc get nowhere near 750 kg . Also remember the car weighs almost 3 tons , so it isn't even noticible . I have taken mine through some pretty hairy obstacles , and the only thing I do differently to normal is to go a bit slower .

I don't think it will be easy to change it , as it entails different axles , braking mechanism etc . Rather sell it and buy a braked trailer . I didn't get any type of manual with it , but if you have any specific questions , fire away maybe I can help or contact the factory .

It is recommended that you check the bearings and all nuts and bolts regularly

I run my tires at 2.5 bar
