ecu location

hi guys
q-where is the ecu in the engine compartment and anyone any pics of how to get to it Question
had the bonnet up but not visible[to me anyway Whistle ]

If your on about the main engine ECU ..behind the battery tray / fuse box ...its behind there (transfer box control module is inbetween the 2)

Not realy Sad

Never took one out ..but looks like battery fuse box out , then transfer box control module out then ECU ..connected with ( i believe ) 3 big plugs ...you got probs ?

seems to get wet very easy

Lots and lots of wires ..i wouldnt bother ...maybee try covering the area with something waterproof

or dont stick the jet wash in that area Laughing

i also seen a "piggyback"chip that i once used on a different vehicle that just plugs into 3 multi plugs
and just sussing out getting to the plugs Whistle

You only have to remove the battery Confused Then remove the plastic covers where the convoluted rubber tubes go into, see picture

Then you can see the ECU. This is it removed.

Get some neutral cure silicon and put it in where the wires go into the plug on the cable, then with it plugged back in wrap self bonding tape around the plug and socket and back up around the cable, got me through what you see in my avatar Very Happy
