How effective is you FBH?
Mine is working rather well via the 3rd button and runs for about 30 minutes. When I get in the car the engine temp gauge reads about 1/4 with 1/2 being full normal operating temp. Therefore 50% warm up.
What are your readings?

On my D4, it reads to the top of the first solid block on the digital indicator after a full burn. Heaters blowing nice warm air.
Just remember though that the oil will still be cold, and same with the gearbox, so will still need a little time to get everything else up to temperate, but its definitely a massive help.

Used my remote in a hotel yesterday so went out & slung my stuff in the car, pressed the dibber, had breakfast, checked out and by that time windscreen was all clear and off I went. Worth it's weight in deep frozen Mars Bars.
Mine seems to be very effective in using up diesel!
Just how long should it keep burning after a run when the gauge is at half and the insides toasty? I think it should have stopped long before that.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. My FBHIC3 heats up to about 53c but doesn't register anything on the temperature gauge on the dash.

On a D3, 30 minutes will usually get it registering on the first block (completely dependant on starting temperature of course so will always be different!)
On a D4, it will only run for 20 minutes so won’t get as warm, but the fans help to defrost
If you want more heat, some people set the timed climate and then set an alarm for 25 minutes later to fire up with the remote to get it warmer.Bodsys Brake Bible

My D3 works from key fob, 25-30 mins gets it to 1/4 position on the the gauge. I think its alot more than 'half way to warm'. Any warmth in the engine block goes along way to preventing wear and aide starting, so thats the hardwork done. Alot of mass there to be sat at near zero degrees.
I mostly do around 3 miles to pick up the misses and back home through town so i've decided to use FBH remotely all the time to give the engine life as much help as possible.
When money allows I'll upgrade to the GSM Altox controller because sometimes I get home in a lift share and I have to jump straight in and go without being able to remote start it.

Or just set the screen timer event for, say, 6:30 the 7:00? Would it fire up 2nd time off the timer like that?

Pretty effective I’d say, outside temp -3, roughly 5 min intervals between pics- Bodsy supplied my remote, nice system, easy to self install and set up.

My D4 runs for 30 minutes from the timed climate, just long enough for it to climb up the temp gauge a little.Jaguar I-Pace HSE imminent.
