Did he mean at the top of the EGR Valve itself which is at the bottom of the pipe?

Mine has the full BAS blanking kit fitted

If you blank both the EGR's, you should really remove the butterfly too. Your turbo will love you for it, otherwise it may all end in tears Whistle Big Cry

Get over yourself Mac.....when you (constantly) open daft threads, you'll get tongue-in-cheek replies....don't take it to heart.

I think it was probably a couple of 2 pence pieces....

This seems to be a fairly standard trick of LR Assistance to get people back on the road quickly.

Just realised your D3 is 2005 - have you still got LR assistance? Extended warranty? If so, then get it to the dealers and have the EGR's replaced. If not, then take a leaf out of Matt's book and get them blanked off properly whilst removing the butterfly. Thumbs Up

Sorry guys I've run out of plates, although I think a few people have a spare pair they didn't use in the end. Someone on ebay is also selling them now I believe. The 2p in the pipe trick is probably OK long term, so you just need to sort the butterfly flap out now Thumbs Up
