Eh? tyre pressure monitors.. |
|
On ordering (and a £1k deposit being paid) I was given a CD / DVD with the owners manual, plus other stuff on it, tyre pressure monitoring is featured - OK, with the asterisk to indicate that it is an optional extra, dependent upon market and specification of vehicle... I naively assumed that, as it wasn't listed as an option that the HSE spec would have it - am I wrong?
Cheers,

(ordered a tyre pressure gauge just in case...)

Unfortunately it seems that Ford's approach was to market the vehicle with all sorts of "goodies" which probably assisted in getting orders, but to asterix them or rely on disclaimers that they could vary the spec - then we got vehicles with different specs from what we thought we had ordered They obviously have a different view of Trading Standards rukes on the other side if the pond (but then little more than a hundred years ago they were still fighting the red indians!! when we were already an industrialised democracy with an established legal system )

Be assured I'll be hassling my dealer as to what spec / market it applies to...

Numerous features in the Discovery 3 prototypes never made it into production. Land Rover documentation, as we all know, is error filled. Our North American manuals here also mention features that aren't available or are overseas only. The latest revision removed most references to dead or market unavailable options to ease confusion.
Adaptive Cruise Control is also referenced in technical documentation -- it did, however, finally appear as an option on Range Rover Sport.
In North America, none of these features were advertised or marketed, though.

Ignore any reference to service indicators also. It is not there.
