Electrical fault

Good Morning,
I am having an electrical issue with my 2010 D4.
Driving along fine and then the satvnav screen goes off, the temperature display changes to 3 dashes, the heating controls turn off and the indicators stop working.
A few minutes later everything goes back to normal.
This happened several times during a 20min trip yesterday.
When I pulled up on my driveway with the fault still there, I also noticed the central locking wasn't working and when I turned the engine off it had a smart key not found message.
Again, after a short while, everything came back to normal.
Another couple of trips later in the day and no such issues.
Has anybody else experienced this sporadic issue, or have any ideas what may be causing it?

Many thanks

After my initial post, i started getting a charging ststem fault.
I fitted a new alternator, which was fun, and replaced the earth strap. All seemed well, but today its doing the exact same thing.
Could it be the battery?

I should say, it's doing the same as before but without the charging system fault (so far).

Hi cammers,

You private messaged me regarding this issue from a thread I posted.
For some reason the forum won’t let me reply to you.

I did get this issue resolved, I ended up going to a Land Rover dealership.

The issue turned out to be the panel with the climate controls heated seats on etc that was replaced and the car worked perfectly after that !

Also when the Land Rover tech was diagnosing it, which took him a long time and in his own words was a challenge to him
He narrowed it down to 2 possible issues one being that panel which it turned out to be, the other possible issue being the instrument cluster.

I really hope this helps you get your issue sorted !

Kind regards and best of luck !
Matt

Thanks Matt, really appreciate the response.
I will have a look at the heater controls in the morning.
