Think of the Warranty issues on imported vehicles!! I have imported numerous Mercs from Germany, that said and done, I ordered in September 04 an 05 Range Rover TD6 Vogue, laid my £2,000.00p deposit. Watched the Euro plummett, coupled with the dealer having a 8 month delivery time and I wanted it yesterday. Walked into my UK dealer, saw the car physically in showroom and wrote the cheque. Lost my deposit in Germany. But with the technical issues that I had with the vehicle I would have been knackered, had I purchased over seas. Dealer and my persistence managed to get a brand new vehicle swapped out.
Personnally I would not touch another imported vehicle after my experiance with warranty issue's. Drove the Range Rover Sport yesterday. Clever marketing from Land Rover. Same chassis as the Disco 3 Minor alterations inside with a new shell. Will never make a Range Rover. Own a 05 model TD6 Vogue and Disco TDV6 HSE.
