Hi My bottom end has just gone and seems a load of expense. I found this company elite engineering offerringto fix it with a warranty for 4k...anyone have any dealings with them good or bad? Is it worth it? Whats the best route?

Might be worth speaking to one of the site sponsors and see if they can suggest something ? I think Oval Autos are nearest to you... I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

D4? spun bearing or broken crankshaft?
and WHAT will they fix for 4K? engine OUT & IN Including? What Warranty? how long (mls) and incl OUT & IN?
how many mls on the replacement botom end? proven? and if "only" a crank? LR or chinese copy?
it all depends on what, why and who... 4K is impossible if proper done if everything is outsourced... 6K seems nearer if done proper
i did a D3 2.7TDV6 replacement myself, with a (proven) low mileage S Type JAG engine (68K mls) AND still did a bottom end refurbishment before mounting.. (cost 5K in total with engine work done by myself)
the mentioned 6K is THAT expensive? i do not believe so.. engine should last quite a few miles for that money, if you just buy another motor or even complete engine, you never know how long it will last..
depends on the car itself and your intentions with it nex few years.. Best regards

Is this the full & correct name?
Who is offering the warranty? If Elite Engineering I would be very cautious.
