I've passed the info on to the 2 teachers in the family ... could be just a little bit disruptive. One of SWMBO's pupils screams if someone brushes against him and cries at loud noises. This could trigger a meltdown.

Would a teacher have their phone on in the classroom? And if so, would it not be on silent or at least turned down so as to be non-intrusive in the event of a call/notification? Not being argumentative, it's a genuine question from a non-teacher.
Not disagreeing with you that it ought to have been better publicised, it seems daft that they haven't been putting it out in the news etc.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Yeah, right...
I think the aim of that was so that the bodies would all be in one place afterwards... Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Place yourself and your family under a pile of combustible material to ensure full cremation is achieved....I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
You can't turn down the volume as it bypasses the volume setting. May even bypass the "off" button on newer phones. I think you have to actually remove the battery to defeat it.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.
I've not "opted out" as I'm interested to see what happens.

Ah, I didn't know it took control of the phone's settings too. I assumed it was just a text message. My apologies.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

On your iPhone you can go into notifications and switch off alerts.
Its not the height of the fall but the sudden stop at the bottom that hurts!!

Plus 1 , also haven’t seen it on the news
That’s what I also thought if it was on silent
Your phone or tablet may:
make a loud siren-like sound, even if it’s set on silent
vibrate
read out the alert
