Well, have managed to restructure finances so it looks like I won't have to lose the Disco after all!
To those of you who offered advice - thank you very much indeed.
To those of you who acted like vultures, trying to prey upon my misfortune - I hope that the same thing never happens to you. Everyone likes a bargain, but seriously; shame on you.

I wasn't one of those preying upon your misfortunes, but if you had a chance for some cheap parts, you wouldn't seriously refuse them would you (provided they were legally obtained)?
There are many situations where bargains can be sought and it's usually at someone elses expense or ignorance of the value. (I'm not saying you're ignorant, clearly you are not)
Having said that, congratulations on getting the re-finance sorted.
Now, does anyone have a set of 19" with MTR's available, I'm willing to pay a fiver a peice........ Bodsys Brake Bible

Chance for some cheap parts - yes. Offering someone £30k for a car which cost over £40k just 2 weeks earlier because I knew they were desperate - no.

Great news woolwich_gunner!
My company is making everyone in my office redundant at 2007 year end (thankfully lots of notice) and that news was bad enough, your news must have been a real shock after just laying out all that money - speaking from a mere 5 weeks of ownership myself, it's definitely worth keeping the D3!
I'm very glad to hear you're now all sorted (without being fleeced/vultured), and I bet that you can now get yourself a better paid job too; You can do it!Dr. Ian Malcolm:
