Engine Bay Exhaust Leak

So I have fumes (visible but not excessive) leaking into the engine bay (floating is more like it). It seems to be coming from the primary turbo side but I cannot hear any exhaust leak which is baffling me a bit. I just fixed a copper injector seal blowing and that's now sorted but still have this other leak it seems.

This was on cold start fwiw.

Any thoughts on culprit and best way to diagnose?

Thanks.

[Possibly ... but I would have expected a ticking sound on this (dunno I am a petrol engine guy so mbe not as audible on Diesel?).]

Seems like Ill need to be digging into the nether regions to find this..

Sorry - I thought you typed exhaust Manifold... nope not the intake - this had cracked a while back and was recently replaced. Also smoke emanates from the bottom right rear of engine as you face it. Could be a simple gasket seal further downstream. So its either from the turbo gubbins, xover ex pipe or other connections / holes Confused

Smoke test it, it's a common fault.

Sounds a bit like the issue I have, which is a cracked cross over pipe. The real issue is finding a reputable dealer to do the work at a reasonable cost.
