Engine light and restricted performance

The Disco is being driven every day about 60 km on highway. It's been parked last Friday evening and not moved until Sunday morning when I've decided to fill it up with Diesel (about 1/4 of the tank left). Everything was OK while driving the car from home to the gas station but when I've started it again after refilling, the red triangle with restricted performance came on. There was an obvious lack of power and the ride became quite wobbly when trying to accelerate quickly. After a couple of minutes the check engine light had also came on.
Tried to restart it after about 10 minutes, the 2 warning lights were switched off however the ride was still wobbly and there was still limited power. The 2 lights would come on again after about 1 or 2 minutes of driving.
Also there seem to be a short whining noise coming from the engine bay when releasing the accelerator pedal quickly.
I only use the best available diesel from the top manufacturers.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Cosmin

hi cosmin, it could be a coincidence that it happened just after filling up, but may be you picked up some dirty fuel? In any case, I'd be getting the fault codes read. Thumbs Up

Get the fault codes read, sounds like its the csov actuator is stuck. You can get a repair kit to fix it. With your disco being a 2010 it will have the early type actuator fitted if its not already been replaced.

Apparently the fault was with a "valve actuator kit". Not much detail from LR except this but it's been replaced and all is well again Smile.
