Engine management light came on and LRA called
Well today i was out and about and after being in a shop for about 20 mins came back out loaded car with shopping and started to drive away when the engine management light came on and the car started to bong at me. Stopped and turned it off let it go to sleep to see if it would clear, no luck so i then called LRA as i wasn't keen on driving with the thing bong and flashing at me.
When i eventually got through to LRA and gave them my motors details they said it wasn't on the system The next question from them to me was is my car under 3 years old, which i told them it was. They then informed me i would be contacted shortly as it was a busy period and that they wouldn't give me an ETA. So approx 1 hour later got a phone call from LRA to get exact location and was informed they were 5 mins away. Well the little AA van turned up and plugged his gizmo in and informed it was the EGR valves and that he couldn't do anything. He recorded the fault codes and reset the D3. He advised me to get it to the dealer on monday.
The codes he noted were
PO405 EGR sensor A circuit low
PO405+ EGR sensor A circuit low
PO490 EGR control circuit high
So to the dealers i go on monday morning. ohh the warning light came back on on the way home.POT NOODLE NAVIGATION CHALLENGE 2010 WINNER

Bad luck, at least it'll be covered under the warranty though hopefully.
Still got that A-bar here for you, is it still in your plans?

I'd heard that they only use 2p's but i'm not sure as to what location in the Egr system they put them.

Funnily enough the AA lad said the same about if they had kept the LR lads on. but the closest he knew that was still doing it was down near manchester. He said i could still use it as it hasn't lost power and was only on an amber warning light. But must take to dealer. Luckily its still under warranty.
Buellbeast yep still in my plans, sorry i haven't followed it up too quickly, need to get my in gear and get down to your end, also need to call in at uncle rays and visit the sankey as still not seen it yet. POT NOODLE NAVIGATION CHALLENGE 2010 WINNER
