Engine stop when driving and now no start. |
|
Hello,
My Disco (2,7tdv6 12/2004) makes a lot of trouble.
My Engine cuts out while driving and then won't start. There are no error codes stored.
Then I swapped the Lpfp and Hpfp, the Egr valves are also new.
Now the engine starts running at low speed for a few seconds and then dies out.
Nothing happens when I press the gas pedal.
I hope someone can give me a tip, thank you very much

You need to get the fault code read, and then post them. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

An fault code was stored with egr.
They are both new but still no change.

Try looking for "pending" faults... DM mentioned this to me when I couldn't find a fault code even though the car was in limp mode... I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Take a look under the oil filler cap to see if there is any movement when you turn over the engine - could be a snapped cam chain, if the passenger side one goes it throws up a sensor error but the drivers side doesn’t possibly the belt will be turning one of the cams but the chain can’t turn the other. Causes difficulty starting and running and car only revs to around 700 rpm with no power Must stop buying shiny toys....

Under the Oilfiller cap is movement…
The Chains come new for about 500km.
