I've used MillersDiesel (4?) sport additive, got it in Halfords . Jury's out on this one.Haven't used it in a good while now. Some days I thought it made a difference , somedays I didn't.Who knows.

I've been reading about adding adding mineral, low ash content, 2stroke oil to the diesel tank .

Plenty on it if you google.

I've never added anything to the engine oil other than changing it & filters regularly.

I use Redex deisel, every 3,000 miles (so approx every other week), cheapest to buy it from is Asda Walmart, only about £3.50 per 2 treatments.

Has it made a difference, I pleased to say.......... dont know but anything that hellps to keep the engine from sooting up has got to be a good move Thumbs Up

Forte products are the best for fast action.

oil flush and diesel treatment.

Most of the LR dealers in yorkshire use these products on every service.

I agree with DW

Millers surprised me - bought it to clean the injectors - didn't expect the improved performance AND mpg!

Half price if you buy 5 litres at

http://www.wilcodirect.co.uk/index.php?mai...ts_id=3394

which should last you 25-30k miles Very Happy
2006 D3 finally swapped for a 2016 D4 Graphite in Graphite grey. No mods

Thanks guys I got the forte one in my local motor factors put it in the disco last night might have a bit of a run today to se if it makes a difference.
I am not having any problems with my disco at the moment. When it starts and is at idle and when i put foot down there is noting in the way of black smoke that would have alarm bell ringing as i have it serviced regularly . I just want to make sure there is no crud build up inside the engine. Crud inside the cabin is a different story i am off today so i will treat it to a bit of TLC inside and out.

Thanks for your help .
Terry

I put the forte in today and gave the disco couple of rasps on the m way and i think it has made a bit if difference it feels a pit mor sprightly. as long as the inside of the engine is getting a good clean out that is all i am concerned about.
