OK....a quick run-through of how I got the answer....
As DSL also did, I spent about 20 minutes looking for white flags with blue crosses on them and I failed miserably Firstly because the cross was actually green and also because this wasn't a country flag.
The fact that they were Disco 2s meant that the photo was probably before mid-2004.
The solution was the number plates of the cars....after wasting even more time trying to find similar plates, I did a search for license plate CA XXX XXX in google and found a Cape government website offering these types of special plates for sale....without this bit of luck I'd never have found it...
Assuming Cape and a harbour, it was an easy guess that it would be in the capital, next to Table Mountain, so I looked at Google Earth and found the exact buildings that are in the pictures
The I googled for "Land Rover G4 South Africa" and one of the first results talked about 2003....
Then I posted it.....it seems easy now, but it was good fun.....good choice of photos Richard!!!

Last night was the first night in months that our 7-month old decided to go to sleep straight away at 8pm....this meant that I had two hours 'spare' and the little quiz filled the spot nicely 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG
