EPB Noise

Not had any issues with the parking brake working but just recently in this cold weather the EPB makes a slight screech noise with application .
This is always in the morning and as the car gets warmed up and used the noise goes away when the EPB is applied .
The car is due its 2nd service 1st week Feb and has covered 11300 mls since new .

Any thoughts ? , will be booking the service next week and intend mentioning it then .

Definitely tell them as it is likely the EPB shoes will need adjusting.

You will really know about it when it goes wrong as the screeching is incredible! Mine had to be replaced a few weeks ago for over £930.

I’m sure it will just need adjusting and it can be done if you are feeling handy (personally I wouldn’t, but then the sum total of my mechanical knowledge is opening the bonnet and calling the AA!).

At least yours will be under warranty and if the screeching continues I assume you are also still covered by LR Assist, so get them out.

Confused Is it a loud screeching noise or more of a 'buzz' electric motor activating noise? If the latter, its normal Thumbs Up
