Errro Message - Smart Key Not Found
Twice today, I have the message "Smart Key Not Found - Press Okay to Cancel" or similar even though the keyfob is in the vehicle. Pressing Okay gets rid of the message but leaves a warning triangle. Shutting the engine off and restarting clears the message and triangle.
Big problem coming or nothing to worry about? Suggestions gratefully received.

Mine does this occasionally, especially if the mobile in next to the key. But it hasn't been a problem... even when my key was in my coat in the boot.

Have ya tried placing the key under the steering column, when I got the message I tried this like it says in the manual and it hasn't happened since give it a try MY18 D5 HSE LUX😎

There is a post on the Landrover GTR web site about this you all need to check your serial number on your key fob
i can not get on the GTR site to check the site is down
if you have this fault and the fobs are in this serial run the dealer will change the fobs.

Has your vehicle had the reassurance program carried out on it?
Q093, One of the modules you are referring to has an update to it, the KVM-Keyless Vehicle Module.
Book into your dealer.D4 Alaska/Almond 2.7 TDV6 with E-diff & extra's..

The key also needs to be close or in the arae of the drivers seat. Put mine on the back seat in my jacket after starting car, car drove with no issues, but I got the same message. Took a lot of bottle to stop the car and turn off as at the time I was miles from no where and had no mobile signal. When I re-started still had the same message, it was at this point that i realised the key was in my jacket on the back seat and this was out of range Hope this helps MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange
