Eskdale campsite
Spent the weekend in The Lakes staying at the above campsite. Great place in a stunning location. Owner is a LR fan with a MY16 D4 who would like nothing better than a load of Discos turn up. Three pubs to choose from serving great food and cask ales. Plus you can get ferried to and from one of them by the landlord in this.
Couple of photos.
Used the frontier stove to do most of the cooking, when it wasn't raining, and must say it is a great bit of kit especially with the skillet
Would be a good spot for a group trip.

I camped their a few years back with the wife. Great site, and the local pub up towards the pass served some beers too
Pity they decline to take caravans.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

Think it's probably more a case of it not being easy to get a caravan there. Did see some trailer tents though so maybe things have changed. It used to be a C&CC site but not any longer.D4 MY15 SE TECH

Thats the one. Well four pints of something along the lines of "bonce basher" and the walk home was interesting! Didn't realise they did a taxi/ambulance service
I even remember seeing that truck at the pub, must be going back 8-9 years now!

My favourite.
Great campsite and Martyn is a great bloke. Up there for five days in mid June.
Agree with the trailer tents. Spotted a few on site last year.
He also has a V8 D1 for pulling out stranded campers. (I blame him for my V8 urges)
It is in C&CC Siteseeker book for 2017 and seems to have the new C&CC pods. Are there two sites?
Also, it looks like the Calor Gas lorry can get there!A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

Yeah, I think that's the case. Possible, but easy to get stuck or scrape the van bodywork.
The nearby C&CC site at Ravenglass is very good though.

Will do James
I'll have a look at dates and may see if we have much interest in a meet.
It's definitely not a C&CC site anymore. This is only a recent thing and the sign at the entrance has changed as well.D4 MY15 SE TECH

Neither of the two big clubs seem willing to come clean about selling off sites or loosing leases. The just disappear from books and applications and the customers only find out when they go to book.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill.
