Ta, that’s what cruise is for! Not sure if I’ll be able to use it on a Friday afternoon though I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

I know Del I know !
I thought long and hard about what I wanted from a car and then what I NEEDED from a car and (although it can't tow 3.5t) the XC90 ticks all the boxes and doesn't have the history of crank failure and other such issues (I'm sure there are things it does have )
The FFRR is a fantastic car but high running costs and thinking what it will be worth in about three years the outlay just didn't justify it...
My heart says Disco all the way but too many issues and the cost of a low mileage one still has the same issues (for twice the price)... I want a Disco, I loved driving my Discos but coming down to a two car household I just can't warrant having a car that could be off the road for a week or so every other month.
The XC90 does 90% of what the Disco can, for lower running costs and better residuals... add to that I've saved over £10k on what the FFRR would have cost me for a low mileage, VERY complete service history (every receipt for the last six years from the same garage) and it has every option and the best part... I bought it for what the guy was offered by a dealer for trade in... no brainer really
However I may be eating my words once I've driven it during a real winter
I'll post a few pics once I get it home on Friday (very long drive) but if anyone sees a bright red XC90 heading north give me a wave I'll be looking enviously at your Discos...
Not mine but identical model and colour, complete with R-design interior

Makes since, I’m well jell! Winter tyres should help you when the white stuff falls from the sky.
