Expeditions company - any members? |
|
Are there any members of the forum involved with any of the 4x4 expedition companies (UK Based) running trips to UK, Morocco, Pryrenees in 2023 ?
Looking to go on a trip and thought it might be handy if someone on it also could fix a D3 if it broke down
Seriously, just trying to keep it local A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

I'm friends with one, and although he's a Defender driver, also has a D3 and is well versed in retrieving them from the top or bottom of sand dunes

... and watched this yesterday, which makes me want to go back Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead, A panels, vent panel & outriggers now disintegrated - Next years project!

Well, if he has a defender, he won't be afraid of getting his hands dirty anyway
Morocco trip would be awesome
Nice friends to have . Are they in NL? Do they have a tour company? A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

To clarify - My friend runs trips from UK, the video is unrelated but randomly popped up & just looks so fantastic it makes me want to go again. The routes they took are better than the standard 'tour', but you need to be braver than me to go on your own!
The standard 'go to' companies that run from UK are/were Protrax & Atlas? Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

With my previous Discoveries I did a number of trips with George from Trails and tracks. The memory of those is a large part of the reason I'm looking at a potential D3 purchase.
