I did a 3 yr WD policy last year, so I should have 2 years left I think when I hit the max miles , but can’t remember what they are. 120k maybe!

I assume mine will stay with the system I’m insured with.

I’m pretty sure the max miles bit is max when the policy starts. I may be wrong, worth checking.

Gareth, don’t s’pose you could plug your car & numbers in to the website quote thingy? Would be an interesting exercise. Thumbs Up

Has anyone found Warranty Direct automatically renewing their policies with no warning and no discussion about T&Cs? Just had an email from them thanking me for renewing which was news to me. Their T&Cs say that they will be in touch 30days before renewal but this thanks for renewing email was the first I've heard from them for a year.
Unimpressed.I might renew but not without haggling and removing betterment.

Phone call should sort it. Looks like renewal of my D4’s warranty in just over a year’s time will be stupid money, well over double what I’m paying now from a quote yesterday. Will prob be the end of an era. Big Cry Big Cry

If it wasn’t for the engine issue I’d quite happily run without a warranty.
I’ve got a year left to run on my D4 manufactures warranty and will then have to decide what to do.
With the costs of a new engine so high it does make sense to keep it covered.
 D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.
D3 2005 HSE, Bonatti Grey, now sold but still comes back for servicing.
Defender 2002 Td5 Commercial, had a hard life but slowly being restored.
I only work so I can afford to repair my Land Rovers!

But when 3 years of warranty will cost 1/3 the value of the car (£5k for car that next Sept will prob be worth £15k), for me that’s too expensive. Plus the cost of replacing the engine will soon be more than the car is worth so won’t be fully covered. Too big a risk running without a warranty. Having scrapped one Disco I don’t want to do a second. Just not sure what to get instead but time to think about it. Thumbs Up

All sorted now I'm back in mobile coverage. Bit miffed that they chose to auto renew without asking me, and without any consultation about the level of cover or cost. However, all's well that ends well. Now got another year of luxury cover for MY12 XS SDV6, emissions and airbag cover, betterment removed all for £720. Mustn't grumble really as it's peace of mind for another 12 months. And the front wishbones could do with some attention.... Whistle Whistle

My warranty direct policy is coming to an end so thought I would check around for new quotes.

It looks like Warranty Direct has changed their policies and is now offering just one core policy with a couple of optional additions. It looks very comprehensive but is v.expensive!

2009 Discovery 3, 97000 miles,
Warranty Direct
1 year cover with all additions £2316.18 !!
3 year cover with all additions £5907.94 !!

Motoreasy
3 year Plan B with betterment removed £1705.28

I'll be trying motoreasy this time i think....
Had a quote from warrantry direct a few days ago, core cover for three years, 1096.43 pounds , car has done under 14,000 miles just comming out of l/r warrantry.
