If any of you have done the above (to stop wind noise ), could you let me know the rough thickness of the rubber you used please.

And if you know any suppliers that would be great too .

wiggs if you can get hold of some 1/2" electrical safety matting self tapped into the frame will do the trick. Just have it touching the roofline though as you may get paint damage from any grit that gets lodged there if you have too much contact. Here are some pics ....although note the black matt had faded to grey after a year.

Worried about grit and stuff rubing the pain. I'm fairly sure I could get a strip of clear paint protector vinyl for a few quid if anyone needs any Thumbs Up

I'd recommend taking 90BHP up on this - you'll also want to tape the neoprene onto the vinyl to irradicate the chances of wind lifting it at higher motorwat speeds - it can happen.

If you look in my gallery under D3 Component Pics & Diagrams, there's a couple of picture on how fitted the neoprene by sandwiching it between the frame and the plastic cowling, then re-riveting it cowling through the neoprene onto the frame - that way you don't need an extra strip over the top to hold the neoprene in place.

There should be a thread dedicated to this on here, showing AndrewS' and mine. Confused

About to pop expo rack on and this is a good mod!
Just searching for some neoprene and was wondering what size you would recommend from this lot (if there's anything suitable) for the job?

You'll need at least 75mm to ensure you fill the gap. Less and you'll not have enough to fix to the rack.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

So, 100mm wide strip, about 4mm thick and maybe a couple of meters long would do the trick?
