Well worth the purchase price in my opinion. The initial purchase price sounds high but they aren't cheap cars to repair. Just gives you the peice of mind that if something major goes wrong (or even minor) that your not up for big bucks, especially if a few electrical gremlins rear their ugly head. That said, you need to find a company that doesnt use every loophole available to avoid paying out.

I decided to stick £1k in the bank for safe keeping and just took out the LRA on it's own, that way if I need the money I have it ready, if not I still got it anyway for next year - so yeh a bit of a gamble. LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Does it cover most things or are there lots of get out clauses?
The compressor has just been replaced on mine and a host of other things and my 3 yrs is up in 27 days...
They've got my car at the moment and had it since last weds... but the TDV8 FFRR is rather nice.
I am undecided about the warranty - but the problems I've had this last few months makes me think it may be worth it.

I figure if I can get balljoints and wishbones done under warranty at month 34ish, then I'll not bother with extending it. But who know,s may turn out to be a real dog in it's later life..... Bodsys Brake Bible

Sturge, if you go for the £1050 one which includes assist, it's supposed to be as per the factory warranty, but you have to be below 60k miles when you take it up, I think the cheaper 'select' one has a £3k claim limit. and theeeeennn......???

The extended warranty does not always guarantee a LR engineer - my missus had a puncture, called them out and the non LR 'engineer' strpped the winch mechanism on the spare

Just a hint , if you (or the car) have had a reasonably high number of problems during the original warranty period , try negotiating a 'goodwill' contribution from LRCC towards the cost of the extended warranty.
It has been known
