So to clarify:
* Land Rover Approved Used Warranty is administered by Car Care Plan, and is underwritten by the manufacturer, Jaguar Land Rover
* Land Rover Extended Warranty is administered by Car Care Plan, and is underwritten by Motors Insurance Company Limited (MICL). And as it happens, Car Care Plan is a "sister" company of Motors Insurance Company Limited

Pays your money, takes your choice/chance I guess - I'm happy with LR Approved despite the 'one-off' above, and there is plenty of negatives on the forum re Warranty Direct. Nothing is perfect.
Edit: This was posted at same time as MarsKy's clarification, and was referring to previous posts. Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

Sadly the list is incorrect or misleading in several areas:
There is no excess
There is no requirement for emergency travel or accommodation because you are given another motor immediately when you have LR assitance.
There is no claim limit amount even for MOT
The entertainment system is covered 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Not quite DG - MOT cover has a limit of £750 (detailed in covering letter, not the policy document) and its own excess and, under exclusions, the booklet lists
Telephone/TV/DVD/VIDEO (on page 6)
But I'm still a fan! Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

Not on my policy which one are you referring to? 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I think Waterbuoy has the Approved Used warranty and not the Extended warranty?
I need to sit down with the small print and do my own comparison chart.

The booklet I'm reading says:
Quote:What your Approved Extended Warranty does
not cover
– All service/maintenance operations and adjustments.
– Glass.
– Paintwork, bodywork, trim, upholstery and cosmetic finishes.
– Wheels and wheel balancing/alignment and adjustment unless part of a valid
claim.
– Recharging of air conditioning unit unless part of a valid claim.
– Electrical software updates or reprogramming unless required due to the
failure of a covered part.
– Tyres.
– Batteries.
– Exhaust systems including diesel particulate filters.
– Water ingress.
– Strikers and hinges.
– Bulbs
and I checked my confirmation letter and can't see any reference to the £750 form MOT
Maybe they have adjusted it 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
