I had these replaced - supposedly with new ones, during the recent warranty work. A few days later, it starts squeaking again. I took off the A pillar trim and found the bottom mount was cracked off at the base. Also, two of the new clips had also cracked.
I super-glued the mount back on and then after it had dried, mixed some 2 part epoxy and gave a good amount around all the walls. No problem I thought - I'll ring and get some new clips tomorrow. Bzzt! No stock in any of the dealers have stock... and no stock in LR Australia. Two weeks to order one and it has to come from UK.
Conclusions:
A designed part was replaced by another. Tata - please send LR engineers money so they can buy a new calculator.
LR Australia have no idea about "just in time" parts management.
Ham-fisted stealer workers screwed up the install, or ?
Anyhow, I am about to head to auto stores to find a locally sourced trim clip.

LRAustralia are cocks. A law must be past making it legal to shoot the on sight.
if you need bits see Nick. he will have the parts and at a much better price and delivery will be reduced by half.

Take a clip to "supercheap" or Repco, or Toyota / Nissan/ Holden dealer doesn't matter they all have or use similar clips for similar situations.
I have a number of clips used by Holden that do the job.
Remeber, not everything on a LR is made by LR
BTW, I remeber the A trim itself to be not too expensive when I asked for a quote a while back. The "windscreen replacerers" aren't all that careful when taking off and putting back the trim, and mine lifted off at 100k in a crosswind after the screen was replaced. But replaced the clips as above...no issue...so will simply replace the clips with each windscreen.

Don't think so... having a squeak or the A trim fall off is not good engineering. If I had to guess, it seems they designed them so you could remove the A trim and have the clips break - rather than the A trim.

Hear, hear! Come the revolution...

Good call... I'll see if he can beat the 2 weeks that I was quoted. The use of interior clips is probably a lot weaker than the purpose-made ones. There was nothing at Auto One or Supercrap this morning which was close enough. Anyhow - the ones I have on now seem to hold it in place - long enough for the right ones to arrive.
Cheers,
Rob
