Falken Widpeaks delivered, check out the price👍
New tyres just arrived and wanted to share the deal I got incase anyone else is in the market at the moment. Obviously these are just tyres but I have a local LR specialist who fits at a very reasonable price. Anyway here’s the link I used plus there's a EBay 10% off code..

That's a good price. Unfortunately I've got 19's on mine.
I recently got a pair from 4x4 Tyres fitted for £306, and will be getting another pair next month, funds allowing. Volunteer driver with 4x4 Response South East Wales

Are you happy with them. I’m moving from Cooper Discoverer AT3 to these. All the reviews seem really positive

How 'rugged' do they look? The tread pattern looks a bit narrower than other AT tyres.Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

There’re actually very rugged when you get up close and personal to them! I was running a 265 65 18 Cooper Discoverer AT3, which are now getting on and have started cracking! These are back to standard 255 60 18. So, yes, slightly narrower etc than my previous tyre but a more rugged sidewall. This was the review that finally sold me on them……

I'm quite impressed so far although only driven in the usual UK weather. They handle well, are fairly quiet and look pretty good.
I haven't had the chance to try off road yet, but the reviews are positive.Volunteer driver with 4x4 Response South East Wales

I got some Comforser CF1100 but they won't balance properly, tried a couple of places and also balance beads, so I need something else, it's a shame as they've been good off road and in the snow. Looking at these they tick all the boxes including good in the wet. It's a good price too, just frustrating that I've got these Comforsers with about 20k miles on them, but I'm thinking I'll pull the trigger on them.

Pwheeldon, I've also got the Comforser CF1100 (on 18 inch rims) - they were on the vehicle when I bought it a year ago, but were brand new. I've put about 25,000 miles on them so far and they are still looking like new. I've found them to be good through the summer and seemed good in the snow last winter, but I just don't trust them at speed in the wet. Perhaps its my suspension but they feel pretty vague when the roads are wet, with the odd alarming shimmy when cornering and very susceptible to cross-winds. Like you, I am thinking of replacing them, but I've got an old set of 17 inch rims and might put some winter tyres on these, leaving the Comforsers on the 18 inch set for next summer.Previously:

I'm going to put them on my Sankey trailer so they won't go to waste, at least not a complete waste as I have 1 new & 1 nearly new Duratracs on the trailer ATM but they're 255/70/18, so at least this way all the tyres will be the same size. Having read and watched a few reviews I'm quite hopeful the Falkens will be better in the wet 🤞Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey
