Knocks the wind out of your sails reading stories like that.
It reminded me of a couple of fellows who knocked on my door last week selling the idea of eternal salvation. I wasn't interested but one of them said "don't you want to be with your family forever?" I thought cheeky trying to make me feel bad, so I started talking about the theory of evolution, which is what I actually believe in and of course they weren't interested.
Tenuous link I know but that's what it brought to mind anyway.Badda bing.......How you doin'?

Understand the sentiments here, but if the parents felt they wanted to depart this world then I suppose it's also understandable that they didn't want to leave a 5yo who may or may not have had somewhere to go. Sad and ultimately selfish all the same. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Unless you are in the state of mind to make a 400ft jump I guess you'll never understand. Very sad indeed.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

A Sussex Police spokesperson said the bodies were first spotted by a member of the coastguard who was on a routine patrol with a cliff-top chaplain.
The chance of it being a tragic accident is very slim, but one can hope so... Terrible way to do it though, as there is no absolute guarantee that death will be immediate. Shame, terrible waste of a young ones life.If you never try, you'll never know...

I'd be very surprised if a 530ft sheer drop onto rocks didn't kill you outright.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Seems the boy may have died naturally at home after an illness. Distraught parents took his body in a rucksack, filled a second bag with his toys, and jumped together. I can't begin to imagine what they must have been going through. Really tragic story.2005 D3 HSE 2011 D4 Landmark 2016 D4 HSE Lux

Bodsy I don't think you have anything to feel sick about; we all jump to conclusions - it just shows how we all get it wrong from time to time. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
