The bank account might regret it Russell!!
D4 has been good to me for the past 2 years. Only standard running costs. Depreciation has been worse than I thought though, but that would be even worse on a 5.
Staying on the fence for now!

Always hard to let a great vehicle go. Hopefully the new one holds much joy to be had to make the parting easier!
I know there’s a lot of stick thrown here at the D5, both light hearted and a bit more serious, but as time goes by I believe they will become more acceptable to the die hard fans. I still remember seeing the first D3 and thinking ‘why would I want to have a LR that looks like a Transit??”
So, while I may lament the fact that to me, the D5 looks a bit mass market, it is slowly growing on me. And I have no doubt that it will be a great drive. I occasionally look over at the D5 forum, and on the whole, they seem pretty happy with their cars.
So best of luck with building the new man-car relationship DG. Great that you will still hang around, the post count wouldn’t be the same without you! King of the typo.
MY11 D4 5.0 V8, Bournville, lots of goodies!
Now departed: '85 RR Vogue, '94 D1, '95 D1, '70 SIIA, '97 D1, '04 D2a. All V8, except for the SIIA - but that drank as much petrol anyway!
