Fascia Vents
The main vent on the fascia to the right of the steering wheel will not shut off! Any ideas on how to fix it?LR Discovery 4 XS pulling an Airstream 532 Caravan also own (since new) a 1996 MGF

My first D4 did this but with the one to left of wheel. It was the drive gearing had failed replaced under warranty.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Could be a easy fix this happened on mine, it runs in a cog type drive that jumps if turned to hard,
I just manipulated it back into place.
Can assist with it if you need advice,

Thanks for tips Ash - removed fascia section and discovered that the push/pull rod with a very flimsy ball and socket fixing had come adrift at the cog wheel end, a little gentle persuasion and the ball clicked back in place - not sure how long it will last LR Discovery 4 XS pulling an Airstream 532 Caravan also own (since new) a 1996 MGF

Just checked mine and found the same problem. The vent to the left of the steering wheel won't shut off, can't see anything obvious through the vent, so am I correct in assuming that the whole of the central facia panel will have to be removed?D4 MY14 XXV - RLD/IID BT

Got the assembly out yesterday BUT this time the push/pull rod has come off at the bottom end so can not get at the rod to re fix it -- so have just put it back with the flap closed, wonder if it will stay that way!LR Discovery 4 XS pulling an Airstream 532 Caravan also own (since new) a 1996 MGF
