You are a clever lad
Shes blowing heaps of smoke, absolutely flying and
the fuel economy is rubbish
Not sure what "lost communication with ecm/pcm" means

Im a LR man to the end, but im getting sick of this thing

United Kingdom 2007 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Manual Zermatt SilverDiscovery 3

Which module is this from?
can't find it listed in ECM DTC's
BTW, Scangauge etc. will only read the first 5 digits of the DTC, the last two are only capable of being read by LR diags

United Kingdom 2007 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Manual Zermatt SilverDiscovery 3

Just checked the TCM & PCM codes, both list U010087 as a valid code indicating Missing CAN messages between Engine, Transmission & Park brake
Quote:
Carry out a complete vehicle read for DTCs indicating a CAN or module fault. Lost communication codes indicate that a module is not receiving CAN information from another module, but that its own transmissions are OK. Check for related "invalid data" DTCs in other modules and other ECM DTCs. Rectify as necessary. Clear DTCs, complete drive cycle 1 to test for normal operation, refer to the relevant drive cycle shown below this table. If DTC resets carry out a network integrity test. Review the DTCs to identify any trends such as a number of modules reporting having lost communication with a particular module. Rectify as necessary. This DTC may occur after/during cranking if battery capacity is low. Refer to the warranty policy and procedures manual if a module is suspect. Clear DTCs, complete drive cycle 1 to test for normal operation, refer to the relevant drive cycle shown below this table.
My guess would be CAN to the EPB wiring / connection problem

You've got a self-reloaded remap Peter, as I remember ?

Could this have anything to do with wiring you've touched ........ as Iain said last night.

Did this start after the Dealer visit of a couple of weeks ago ?

Thanks Iain
My fuel economy on the 300k trip to the dealer was 29mpg.
On the return journey it was 22mpg.
I was going to phone them but i didnt
think they had it on the computer because the remap is still there

Just remembered...they replaced the battery. I wonder if
thats caused a problem
