My favorite films

Been perusing the IMDb website this evening and it made me think about my favourite films and why .. so here are few of mine in no particular order Very Happy

Goodfellas - A fantastic, brutal overview of true mob life predominately in the early 70's and for all that camaraderie...it all came down to one thing ...looking after number 1 Wink

American Beauty - Magical portrayal of the typical dysfunctional family ...and one hot babe Whistle

Toy Story - Stuff the kids .....I was spellbound 8)

An American Werewolf in London - Funny, frightening and all the better for being shot in the UK - Classic

Saving Private Ryan - Cried through the first 20 minutes ...how could we put human beings through that? Sad ...albeit americanised ...one of the very best war films.

Anyone care to share theirs ??

Too many to list. But some that come to mind are:

Funny - Road Trip (plus a great soundtrack)
Action - Ronin
just good fun - Italian Job (original)
Weepy - Dr Zhivago (oh, and the Deer Hunter)
Series - The Lord of the Rings (well, maybe parts 1 and 3. Especially the battle in part 3 at ridiculousy loud volume...)
War - Battle of the Bulge

Plus about a hundred others that will now get mentioned...and some that already have...
The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Notting Hill - I know it's a bit gay, but it gives me hope that one day Julia Roberts will walk in to my life and I'll get to shag her

A bit gay!? Rolling with laughter If Julia Roberts knew you liked Notting Hill she'd probably think you weren't her type!
Life of Brian Thumbs Up - How could I forget The Python!?
