New to forum can I say thanks to those who have posted.
Fbh did not work on my d4 and despite reading a lot on the forum ,Google and two visits to local garage I was getting nowhere. Problem being even if you actually mend the thing you have to ASSUME it is not locked out after removing fuse 28 and then wait till it's cold weather to test. Bought iid tool and now sorted. Twas a diesel leak on joint left hand wheel arch pushed back together for now not leaking but will replace with 5mm compression fitting. Knowing what I know now worth checking
1....unlock heater fuse 28 out
2....wait till it's cold
3....fire up and check for leak.
4....mend leak/tut and buy iid tool.
Hope it's of use to someone, thanks to all.
