FBH

In the secret menu on the touch screen if I go to the car configurations button and scroll down about 5 pages there is an item described as 'FBH fitted' which on mine says 'not fitted'. Obviously I do have an FBH fitted although given the time of year and the fact I have only had the car a week I have no idea if it works.
Should I be worried about that and I wonder if it actually means timed/remote FBH fitted or not (which hopefully Wiggs is going to be able to enable for me soon)?

Thanks Dave. I know I have one and what I need to do to get the timed and remote working. The point was rather why does it say in the hidden menu FBH not fitted when clearly one is?

Could someone with 2010/11 model without timed/remote climate check in the secret menu (then button 'Car Configurations' to see if it says 'FBH Installed' or 'FBH Not Installed' please?

Thanks Nick - therefore I suspect that this item in the hidden diagnostics actually means whether the timed FBH function is activated or not (assuming that is that you don't have timed climate?)

No timed climate and therefore no remote either Sad

But definitely a FBH under the bonnet and it says not installed in the hidden menu.

This is what I think too, FBH hardware is always fitted (as on D3) and the on-screen info is related to the timer functionality. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Just to close this thread off, once I had enabled the timed climate function the setting in the diagnostics menu 'FBH Fitted' changed from 'Not Fitted' to 'Fitted'.

So the reference in the diagnostics menu categorically refers to the timed function rather than the presence of the FBH itself.

On D4's prior to 2012 model year, you can get to the menu by following these steps

1. go to the home screen
2. press the top centre of the screen for approx. 5 seconds
3. press the top left of the screen until a password screen appears
4. enter the code 753
