Sounds the same as mine, I have the drivers at home on a disk.
I'll try upload them to my Gallery this evening if you're still struggling.
It will appear as the correct chipset in Device Manager once you've sorted the drivers.  Mods:

There are so many variations and different chips and the adapters are all blue 
The drivers on the page I wrote for setting up the adapter should sort you out 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

I have the drivers now
it's stalling at initialization, fuse ok and connections seem ok, it's raining now so will try again over the weekend

ok been thinking about this a bit,
FBH hasn't worked since engine replacement about 5 years ago maybe longer but I know it did work before
if the fuel pump wiring has been damaged due to engine going in through bonnet would this stop Webasto connecting or would it still connect but show fuel pump fault?
if so is it easy enough to trace wiring down to pump is it just a couple of wires that go from FBH to pump or more
Any thoughts guys

Should connect as you are not using the vehicle's 8 pin plug.
Check you have power at the 2 pin power plug to the FBH if you can. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
