Fbh fuel cup

So my heater wasn’t working very Reliablely so I stripped it down to look and the fuel cup inside the burner is half melted away. Is this just wear and tear or does it need the setting adjusting because it’s burning too hot?

Many thanks.

Pete.

So I fitted the new burner with the cup and fired up ok. I ran up to temp and adjusted the co2 adjustment to reduce the fan slightly (fan running at 85% down to 83%. In the past I had adjusted this because the unit had coked its self up, but obviously gone too far and a burnt out cup was the result.

I really need to get a co2 meter to set up correctly rather than having a guess. Does anybody know if a normal plumbers meter would work or a cheap unit from eBay?

Thanks.

Pete.
