FBH no fuel help.
Ok, FBH has always ran perfectly on the car. Fitted a remote last winter and again it performed great. Now I seem to be having an issue with getting fuel up to the FBH. I’ve replaced the pump, I can get a spurt of diesel from pump, but can’t get diesel up the line to FBH.
I’ve tried a prime.
The FBH will run for about a minute and then cut out obviously because it has no fuel to run on. When I start the FBH from remote, I get 9.7v at the pump plug.
Hopefully it’s something daft that some kind soul could point out and I’ll be on my way.
Cheers for any help.

I remember a post a few years back re. the fuel pipes perishing and leaking? - I'm sure you would have checked that?

Yeah, checked the lines. All good.
With the fuel pipe heading to FBH off the pump, no diesel is being pumped from tank. I’ve blew the lines out in case of blockages.

The pump supply is pulsed voltage so as you are reading something that's a good sign.
Checking what you've said, you think it is a supply issue to the pump (or a pump failure) as you have no diesel coming directly out of the pump when you run the FBH?06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Where does the pump pick up it's supply? I assume down stream of the filter? or does it have an independent filter?

I purchased a second had pump. Confirmed to be in good order, with a warranty.
I fitted, and no difference. I put it directly to 12v and it pulsed once.
This led me to think before I read here, that it is a pulsed feed.
I’ve blown back along pipe and I can hear the bubbles in the fuel tank.

How are you running the pump to check for fuel coming out?06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

At first I plugged the whole pump to fit, hoping I would hear it running. I then removed it and ran a smalll harness to battery.

I think you might be presuming it's fuel related, it might not be.
Have you tried blowing air into the intake and have you considered hooking up a laptop with the Webasto software to find out what's really going on?
You should also be able to confirm your lack of fuel diagnosis by rigging up a gravity feed from a fuel can, using your way of thinking, it should run. Mods:

Narpy, you’ve just opened a can of worms! The FBH has been faultless over the years. When I was told to stick my head under the car and listen for the pump clicking, I assumed it was knackered. The iid tool is showing that the flame is detected prior to use.
I don’t have any software or leads to check what is actually going on.

Hi
Funny u saying that , when I was doing my front struts I found a connector that was leaking diesel , tracing it back to the fuel supply for my FBH , was tucked out of the way
Didn’t realise bottom pipe was metal and top plastic , plus new connector was 5mm

Ok, finally got back to this. Narpy, as you suggested I rigged up a gravity feed direst to the FBH. Tried to run it, and wait for it.....nothing. Tried blowing into intake, but no joy.
Any other thoughts or ideas?
Thanks.

Have you made sure the thing isn't locked out?
If it's still locked out, not even a controller will make it run.
If you were closer, I'd gladly have a play with my diagnostic loom. Mods:

I’ll be honest, I never checked. The controller I have has a pin that I set to unlock the heater. I’ll try that tomorrow. I’ve got an iid tool that belongs to my mate, but I only have limited access as it’s regi to his car.
